About Carrier Family
Doodles’ Program

All of the Carriers’ parent dogs are beloved pets residing in their home. Every adult dog is health tested for breed-specific genetic diseases and annually vet-examined. Happiness, health and wellness (both physical and social/emotional) are a priority. They are in the process of completing OFA health testing for all of their parent dogs and hope to have that finalized by the end of 2026.

The puppies are raised in a dedicated “puppy room” within their home, and are regularly found frolicking in the living room or family room with the Carrier family. Their early experience includes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and sound introduction. (The puppy room features a CD changer playing hymns, classical music, household noises, and random sound effects like fireworks, gunshots, and thunderstorms intermittently throughout the day). Every puppy is individually nurtured, and informally evaluated for temperament at approximately 5 weeks.

Meet the Carrier Family

Marc and Cindy Carrier (with their 11 children) were missionaries in a rural Kenyan village for nine years.  The Carriers had bred German Shepherds in Kenya for several years, and they had connected with the Raber family during that time because of a mutual interest in missions.

When God directed the Carriers to return to the States, the Rabers suggested the Golden Mountain Doodle as a perfect fit for a new breeding program that would give their  family the flexibility to remain committed to ministry.  Not only that, the Raber family helped them get started with their first dogs and were an amazing asset and blessing as the Carriers launched Carrier Family Doodles in 2021. Since then, the Aussie Mountain Doodle, with equally stunning good looks, has also joined their breeding program—a true family dog heart but with a farm dog soul.

The Carriers have wholeheartedly enjoyed and poured their hearts into developing a high-quality home-breeding program. Today, Carrier Family Doodles has earned 60+, 5-star reviews and placed over 350 puppies.
